I am a product designer with a passion for impact.

I want to design products that bring joy and value to the people around me. Whether that is connecting students with resources, or helping dungeon masters create more engaging stories.

I personally get excited to take on new challenges or use emerging technologies.

Oppia.org
Open Source | Design Lead

Led the Learner and Contributor Experience Team for Oppia.org, an education platform designed specially for under-resourced communities worldwide. As a lead, I conducted weekly design meetings for project management of platform features for both the learner’s experience and lesson creation through lesson editing tools. As a designer, I worked on user feedback submission, donation user flows, and design systems.

  • Led the design and research efforts for the feedback function on the web platform, taking the project from ideation to successful launch.

  • Spearheaded the redesign of the donation user flow, collaborating with UX writers and researchers to increase donations and clarify Oppia's non-profit status.

  • Created Oppia’s first Design System and integrated a new design systems team into Oppia’s workflow. This prevents designers from wasting time recreating existing assets and keeps teams up to date on new projects and features.

Otherside Deli
Design Founder & Business Owner

Conceptualized, launched, and successfully expanded Otherside Deli from a food truck to a recognized brick-and-mortar establishment, earning awards such as Eater’s Austin Essential Restaurant and MSN’s best sandwich in Texas. I attribute design thinking and iteration to the deli’s success.

  • Customer Experience - Discover, define, develop, and deliver issues our customers were facing. For example, after discovering the price and the size of our offerings were a roadblock for some customers, we introduced portioning options with much success. Our average ticket price went down, but our profit percentage and total tickets per day went up.

  • Brand Identity - Developed and iterated on brand voice and persona across various platforms, including in-person interactions, social media, and email marketing.

  • Content Design - Using our brand persona, I created copy, imaging, and video for social media, email marketing campaigns, and story prompts to food media outlets.

  • UX Research - Conducted market research, competitive analyses, and face to face customer problem-solving to improve business operations and customer satisfaction.

  • Measuring Impact - Monitored metrics including POS data, customer and employee feedback, and social media metrics to drive continuous improvement. Iterations were implemented with a 3-month commitment.
